Waypoint Counter Surveillance is a Canadian company based in Southern Ontario just east of Toronto. Our fully trained personnel maintain federal security / criminal clearances. We utilize TSCM Specialists with extensive training, experience and backgrounds as members of military, federal government and law enforcement agencies and are actively involved in high level research and development projects for current, new and developing technologies and threats. Selected TSCM operators include Electronic and Design Engineers, Technologists, Physical Search Specialists and Certified Level 1 Thermographers and participate in ongoing formal and informal professional training through workshops, seminars and specialized programs as well as R&D experimentation and design of detection solutions. Such practices also provide up to date knowledge with regards to developments, electronic devices and TSCM related occurrences on a global level. Our operators represent decades of unmatched national and international TSCM, counterintelligence, technical and operational security experience.
We utilize a variety of techniques, methods and high quality, sophisticated equipment resources to help counter the many types of technical, non-technical, internal and external surveillance or intelligence gathering threats that exist. For individuals and small business, we provide options for lower threat levels and limited fixed budgets with the ability to increase services for higher threat levels when necessary or requested by the client. For larger business and corporate clients we provide custom solutions for assignments or programs of any complexity or threat level. Clients no longer need to spend valuable time researching, locating, organizing and co-ordinating as well as monitoring and evaluating technical security services. Where multiple locations are involved, we deal with each location separately and co-ordinate all services required while greatly reducing travel costs and equipment issues associated with travel. Rick has more than 10 years of experience performing Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) / debugging / eavesdropping, wiretap detection and counterintelligence related services of all threat levels for government, law enforcement, large corporations, medium and small business and residential clients as well as in support of protective operations.
Rick is the Director of Business and Field Operations and a Counter Surveillance Specialist (CSS) with formal Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) certification training. Rick is also a Certified Executive Protection Specialist (CEPS) with further training in the areas of investigation, advanced surveillance and information security. Rick has trained alongside government, military and law enforcement personnel both nationally and internationally and maintains a current federal security clearance as well as regional police and vulnerable sector criminal clearances.
Rick has worked as a licensed private investigator conducting surveillance operations and protective assignments and has more than 15 years experience in the private sector at the management level working in corporate business environments and dealing with business intelligence issues.
